Self-learning Baysian Database
The filter continuously learns by inspecing incoming email via auto-adaptive techniques. The administrator can also train the database by uploading spam and non-spam email via the web manager.
Bulk Mail Tools
The filter verifies email checksums looking for matches to known bulk spam.
DNSRBL Tests
Antispam can scan for web links inside email, ensuring that known spammer web sites do not make it to the user's mailbox.
AWL Support
The AWL (auto-whitelisting) feature remembers who has sent you spam in the past, and will ajust the spam score automatically. Non-spam email addresses are also recorded in the AWL database.
Keyword Blocking/Content Based Filtering
The PowerElf Keywords and Phrases option allows the administrator to set Good (Permitted) and Bad (Spam) rules into the spam engine. This feature lets the administrator "tune" the spam engine to better suit the needs of the clients. The administrator can also set the "weight" that his/her keywords have on the overal spam score of the message.
Create Custom Keyword Lists
Administrators can now add their own keywords and phrases to tailor how the spam filter will deal with e-mail.
Email Tagging and Deleting
Allows you to specify different thresholds for either tagging or deleting spam on the network automatically.
Whitelists and Blacklists
The Global White List/Black List section allows the administrator to add e-mail addresses and domains to a White or Black List. The White list accepts e-mail and the Black list rejects e-mail.
Multiple Domain Support
The PowerElf Anti-spam filter can filter email on multiple domains. Because the Powerelf supports virtual domains, the antivirus and antispam services will scan all incoming mail for specified domains. There is no additional charge for multiple domains.
Auto Update System
Offers auto-update mechanism for downloading latest engine updates as well as new rules as they are made available. You will not miss new updates or new rule sets because the PowerElf will automatically download all new anti-spam features to your server.
Administration
The spam filter is managed from an easy to use point-and-click web manager.
Spam Reports
The PowerElf server appliance has the ability to send a spam statistics report to the administrator (postmaster) every day. The report includes information for the last 24 hours about the amount of spam and non-spam has been sent through your mail server.
